TeamYouTube said it's working to fix the issue faced by YouTube users globally on Wednesday, February 18, as they are unable to accesses Google-owned video streaming platform. According to the outage-tracking website Downdetector.in, over 19,000 people in India reported technical issues accessing YouTube at around 7.17 am today. While 35,4285 users globally faced problems while using the application as well as the website until 6.48 am.
"If you’re having trouble accessing YouTube right now, you’re not alone — our teams are looking into this and will follow up here with updates," said TeamYouTube in a post on X confirming the issue.
As per Downdetector.com data, 56% YouTube users reported issues accessing the mobile application, while 17% are unable to load videos on the desktop site and 16% are unable to login to the app and website.
"We’re aware some of you are having issues accessing YouTube right now. Our teams are aware, and we’ll provide updates as soon as we have them," said Hank (TeamYouTube) on support.google.com.
As per the international media reports, 320,000 users in the United States faced issues accessing the Alphabet-owned video platform on Tuesday as of 8.18 pm (US local time). YouTube TV had 8,923 issue reports on the website, while Google had 2,694, according to The New York Post.
