Sharan-Sitak progress to quarters of Chile ATP 250

Divij Sharan and New Zealand's Artem Sitak progressed to the quarterfinals of the Chile Open here. The third-seeded Indo-Kiwi pair defeated the Brazilian duo of Thiago Monteiro and Fernando Romboli in straight sets 7-6, 7-6.

Santiago, Feb 26 Divij Sharan and New Zealand's Artem Sitak progressed to the quarterfinals of the Chile Open here. The third-seeded Indo-Kiwi pair defeated the Brazilian duo of Thiago Monteiro and Fernando Romboli in straight sets 7-6, 7-6.

Sharan and Sitak played a very confident game right from the start. With a few aces up their sleeves and points from the first serve and second serve, Sharan and Sitak smoothly sealed their quarter-final berth.

The Indo-Kiwi duo will now face Spaniards Roberto Carballes Beena and Alejandro Davidovich Fokina.

Speaking after the game, Sharan said, "Every win is sweet but when that win comes against tough opponents it just feels sweeter."
