Due to the April 14 procession commemorating Ambedkar Jayanti, traffic in Thane will be rerouted. The limitations on traffic will be in effect from 4 PM on April 14 until 1 AM on April 15. Vehicles on various routes will not be allowed to enter at this time. An estimated 12,000 to 15,000 people are expected to attend the event, according to Thane City Deputy Commissioner of Police Pankaj Shirsat, who announced the traffic restrictions on X (previously Twitter) on April 10.

The advice states that the procession will start from the Babasaheb Ambedkar Memorial in Katemanivali, Kalyan Dombivli, and travel down the former Puna Link Road in the East Division of Sadar Marvanuka Kalyan before arriving at the Municipal Office in Kalyan East. The traffic police have laid out the required steps for the public's convenience in order to guarantee efficient traffic flow and avoid congestion. Police cars, fire trucks, ambulances, green corridor cars, oxygen petrol cars, and other vital service vehicles will not be subject to the traffic control notice.

In the Vitthalwadi Traffic Sub-division in Kalyan West and Ulhasnagar, all six-wheeled vehicles, private buses, R.P. department buses, local government transport buses, and all kinds of heavy vehicles would not be permitted at Shriram Chowk. Additionally, Samrat Chowk in Valdhuni is closed to the public. Furthermore, Chakkinaka, Kalyan East, prohibits the usage of heavy vehicles, such as six-wheeled vehicles, private buses, R.P. department buses, and municipal transport buses. Malanggarh Road, Kalyan Shil Road to Chakkinaka, and Kalyan East via Old Puna Link Road to Kolsevadi, Vitthalwadi, and Ulhasnagar are all subject to this restriction.
