Dombivli: Massive explosion occurred after the leak of a cooking gas cylinder in Navnitnagar in Dombivli. This incident occurred on Monday night at 11:30 PM in which five people, including a five-year-old boy, were injured. All of them are receiving treatment, while one of them is critical. As per the reports, explosion occurred in the flat of Ketan Harilal Dedhia (age 35), who lives in flat number 510 on the fifth floor of the 'W' wing building in Navnitnagar. Following the gas leak from the cylinder, a massive fire broke out in the house. Ketan suffered 50 percent burns in the explosion.
Impact of explosion was so powerful that it also damaged two adjacent flats, injuring the occupants of those flats as well. Mehul Shantilal Vasad (age 40) from flat number 511 and Vijay Ghor (age 45) from flat number 506 were injured. Harish Kantilal Lodhaya (age 50) and his son Parsh (age 5), who live in flat number 9, were injured when sliding glass panels that fell due to the explosion struck them while they were outside their home. Except for Ketan, the other four sustained minor injuries.

Ketan's house exploded when he switched on the lights upon returning home at 11:30 PM. A suspected gas leak from a cylinder is believed to have filled the house, with the explosion triggered by an electrical spark.
