A mixer truck lost control and crashed into multiple vehicles on Pune Link Road in Kalyan East early Tuesday morning. The accident occurred around 6:30 a.m. when the truck, traveling from Budalik Road toward Chakkinaaka, suffered brake failure.

The truck rammed into three to four auto-rickshaws and a small tempo, leaving the vehicles severely damaged. The tempo driver was trapped inside the wreckage.

Local residents, public representatives, fire brigade personnel, and police arrived at the scene. After a 30-minute rescue operation, the injured tempo driver was pulled out and taken to a hospital. Two auto-rickshaw drivers and two passengers also sustained injuries.

Another mixer truck approaching from behind failed to stop in time and collided with the stationary vehicles. However, it came to a halt before causing more damage.

The accident led to heavy traffic congestion on Pune Link Road. Kolshewadi police have registered a case and started an investigation.
