In an unexpected turn of events a student from Kalyan dies of suicide in the fear of failing in the 12-th exam. This heartbreaking incident took place in the Kolsewadi area of Kalyan. Deceased student identified as Akshara Nitin. Akshara had expressed her feeling in her letter before taking this step.

Akshara was studying in the commerce stream in a renowned college in Kalyan. Akshara papers were tough and on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 she hanged herself in the attic of her house in morning. She was rushed to the hospital, but the doctors declared her dead.

According to information given by relatives, Akshara was calm by nature. She had never discussed the pressure of the exam or the difficulty of the paper with her parents or friends. It is speculated that she must have feared that if she failed, she would bring disgrace to the family. By reading letter deceased parents were in shock. Letter said that after she is gone, no one will bother you again.

To ensure stress-free Class 10 and 12 exams, the government appoints counselors and doctors. However, rising concerns among parents stem from students taking extreme measures without parental consent. The Kolsewadi police have registered a case of sudden death and are investigating potential contributing factors.
