Thane: Indian cricketer KL Rahul and Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty have jointly acquired a 7-acre parcel of undivided land in Owale, Thane West, for Rs 9.85 crore. The purchase, registered in March 2025, is part of a larger land holding measuring approximately 30 acres and 17 guntha, according to property documents reviewed by Square Yards on the Maharashtra government's official IGR website (igrmaharashtra.gov.in).

Owale, located off the strategic Ghodbunder Road, sits between Anand Nagar and Kasarvadavali in Thane West. This prime location enjoys excellent connectivity to Mumbai’s Eastern and Western Express Highways, making it a sought-after destination for real estate investment and development.

The acquired land spans approximately 28,327.95 square meters (around 33,879.58 square yards). The transaction attracted a stamp duty of Rs 68.96 lakh and registration charges of Rs 30,000.

KL Rahul, a star of Indian cricket, has represented the country across all formats, serving as vice-captain and leading in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Suniel Shetty, a stalwart of Indian cinema, has acted in over 100 films across genres. The strategic investment by two prominent personalities reflects growing interest in the Thane region’s real estate potential, especially along the Ghodbunder corridor.
