Two persons were injured after nitrogen cylinders exploded following a fire in a godown in Bhiwandi's Mankoli area on Thursday night, March 7. The fire broke out in a warehouse complex, said Yasin Tadvi, chief of the Disaster Management Cell of Thane civic body. "Sashikant Pal and Suraj Girkar were injured and have been hospitalised," he said.

Earlier on February 26, three people were injured due to LPG gas cylinder blast in a house in the Mohane near Kalyan.

All three were first rushed to Rukminibai Hospital in Kalyan, from where doctors referred them to Sion Hospital in Mumbai for further treatment. The explosion caused extensive damage to the house, and the door and window of the house were broken.
