A tree caught fire near Ram Mandir in Gandhinagar, Kopri, Thane East, on February 2. The incident led to prompt action from the Disaster Management Cell and the local Firefighting unit. To control the fire, a team comprising one fire engine, one rescue vehicle, and personnel from the Disaster Management Cell in the utility vehicle reached the spot. Kopri Fire Station stated that the fire was reported around 07:10 am. In a few minutes, the firefighters successfully extinguished the fire, and fortunately, no injuries were reported in this incident. The authorities stated that the situation is now under control, and the Disaster Management Cell urged residents to remain vigilant and report any similar incidents as soon as possible, so there is no loss of life.
In another incident reported on February 1, a potential disaster was narrowly avoided in Kalyan West when a moving car suddenly went up in flames on the busy Birla College Road, triggering momentary panic among commuters and nearby residents. The incident took place as the vehicle was en route from Mumbai towards Murbad. Reports indicate that the car caught fire while it was still in motion. Showing quick presence of mind, the driver immediately stopped the vehicle and managed to get out safely before the flames intensified. The fire brigade was promptly informed and rushed to the location. While firefighters succeeded in controlling the blaze, the fire was so severe that the car was completely gutted and reduced to ashes.

In another incident reported on January 30, a sudden blaze erupted in garbage piled up inside a drain located between the Central Railway tracks on the Kalwa–Thane stretch, disrupting local train operations. The fire broke out between Platform Numbers 1 and 2, where accumulated waste in the drain ignited, generating heavy smoke and creating operational hurdles. Owing to the incident, local trains moving from Kalwa towards Thane, as well as services heading from Thane to Kalyan and Dombivli, were delayed by around 15 to 20 minutes. Initial reports suggest that the fire in the drain was the main cause behind the temporary slowdown of train services on this busy suburban corridor.
