In a shocking and bizarre incident, a drinking session turned violent when a man bit off his friend’s ear during an argument. The incident occurred early Wednesday morning in the Kasarvadavali area of Thane.

The accused, identified as Vikas Menon, was consuming alcohol with his 37-year-old friend, Shravan Likha, at the latter’s residence in Hiranandani Estate, Patlipada. As tensions escalated during their conversation, the argument took a gruesome turn when Menon bit off a portion of Likha’s ear, causing severe bleeding.

Following the assault, Likha was rushed to Thane District Government Hospital, where he is currently receiving medical treatment. The Kasarvadavali police have registered a case against Menon based on Likha’s complaint. Authorities are investigating the motive behind the argument and are expected to take further legal action against the accused. This unusual case has left the local community in shock, highlighting the dangers of alcohol-fueled disputes.
