Thane: Three Men Attack RPF Jawan at Kalyan Railway Station, Accused Arrested

In unexpected turn of events, three individuals for allegedly attacked jawan from RPF. This incident occurred at Kalyan Railway Station, which has created a tension atmosphere among the station premises. All the three accused into a custody and court has remanded them to judicial custody. RPF Jawan Narendra Yadav received information that several individuals were assaulting a passenger aboard the Dadar-Gorakhpur Express.

As soon as information received, immediately rushed to the coach. To bring the situation under control, he instructed the three individuals involved to step onto the platform for questioning. However, as soon as they disembarked onto Platform Number 4, the accused launched an attack on Jawan Narendra Yadav. The trio collectively assaulted him. Witnessing this altercation, a sense of panic spread among the passengers present on the platform, resulting in chaos.

Upon receiving information about the incident, the Kalyan Railway Police arrived at the scene and brought the situation under control. The police arrested the three individuals identified as Abdul Sheikh, Salman Sheikh, and Sarkar Sheikh and registered a case against them. After being produced before the court, all three were remanded to Adharwadi Jail.

Speaking on the matter, P.R. Meena, the officer-in-charge of the Kalyan RPF, stated that the incident occurred while the jawan was attempting to resolve a dispute between passengers. The Railway Police have arrested the three individuals and have initiated further legal proceedings. Meanwhile, the fact that a security personnel on duty was himself attacked has once again brought the issue of railway passenger safety to the forefront. This incident poses a significant challenge to the existing railway security apparatus.
