Thane municipal corporation has announced the water supply disruption on 24-hours on March 12, 2026 Thursday in several areas. This supply disruption will be carried out for the pipeline work being carried out near the Siddheshwar Water Tank. As per the civic body work for laying new pipeline in the Uthalssar ward committee affecting the existing 600 mm diameter outlet pipeline connected to the Siddheshwar water tank.
The current pipeline will be replaced with the new one. For this work water supply will be suspended from 9 am on Thursday and will resume on march 13, said officials.

Several areas of the Uthalsar ward, including the Siddheshwar Lake vicinity Ramabai Ambedkar Nagar, Ganeshwadi, Nitin Company area, Panchpakhadi, Sarovar Darshan, Chandanwadi, Hansnagar, Singh Nagar, Khopat, Flower Valley, Shelar Pada, Gokuldaswadi, Kolbad and Gokulnagar. The Naupada ward will also face water supply disruption. These include Panchpakhadi, Chandanwadi, the municipal corporation premises, Charai and Dhobi Ali.

Ahead of water cut, authorities have urged residents to store water in advance to avoid any inconvenience during the water shutdown period. TMC has requested to cooperate with authorities while the pipeline work is underway.
