Ahmad Hassan Polytechnic Institute, a school for electricians, was founded in 1918 by the late Syed Ahmad Hassan Naqvi in Ludhiana, India. After partition of the sub continent in 1947, it was shifted to its current premises at Lahore.It was run by Syed Ahmad Hassan Naqvi until his death in 1965. Ahmad Hassan had four sons, Saeed Hassan, Rasheed Hassan, Majid Hassan and Khurshid Hassan.
