Anwar Jalalpuri was an Urdu poet from Jalalpur, Ambedkar Nagar, known for translating the Bhagavad Gita from Sanskrit to Urdu.He received the Padma Shri posthumously from the President of India, and the Yash Bharti Award from the government of Uttar Pradesh.
