James Edward Kelly is a former American football quarterback who played in the National Football League for eleven seasons all with the Buffalo Bills. He also played two seasons with the Houston Gamblers in the United States Football League.Kelly was selected by the Bills in the first round of 1983 NFL draft and was taken 14th overall. He chose to sign with the Gamblers instead and did not play for the Bills until the USFL folded in 1986.
