Mianyang is the second largest prefecture-level city of Sichuan province in Southwest China. Located in north-central Sichuan, its population was 5.45 million in 2015 covering an area of 20,281 square kilometres consisting of Jiangyou, a county-level city, six counties and two urban districts.
