Michael Erik Kurilla is a United States Army lieutenant general who serves as the commanding general of the XVIII Airborne Corps. He previously served as the chief of staff of the United States Central Command. In January 2022, he was nominated for promotion to general and assigned to succeed General Kenneth F. McKenzie Jr. as the commander of the United States Central Command.
