Quaiser Khalid is an officer of the Indian Police Service and an Urdu shayar. Khalid has written two anthologies of Urdu poetry, consisting of ghazals and nazms, which are currently available in Hindi and Urdu, and is a winner of numerous awards, most famously the Maharashtra State Urdu Sahitya Academy Award.
