United States Indo-Pacific Command is a unified combatant command of the United States Armed Forces responsible for the Indo-Pacific region.Formerly known as United States Pacific Command since its inception, the command was renamed to U.S. Indo-Pacific Command on 30 May 2018, in recognition of the greater emphasis on South Asia, especially India.It is the oldest and largest of the unified combatant commands.
