Rushan Abbas is an Uyghur American activist and advocate from Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region in China, also known as East Turkistan. She is the founder and Executive Director of the nonprofit, Campaign for Uyghurs. Ms. Abbas is the sister of a retired Uyghur medical doctor Dr. Gulshan Abbas imprisoned by the Chinese government in Xinjiang.
