Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

The Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Municipal Corporation (CSMC) has extended the date offering 10 per cent rebate in property tax from April to May 31. The rebate is given in general tax (samanya kar) which is a part of property tax.

In April, around 31,000 property owners availed themselves of the scheme, and deposited property tax of Rs 29.40 crore and water tax of Rs 3.82 lakh. Reviewing the tax collection and going through the demand, the mayor Sameer Rajurkar and municipal commissioner Amol Yedge ordered the Assessor and Collector of Tax section to extend the rebate scheme.

The mayor and the deputy mayor Rajendra Janjal have appealed to all taxpayers to take advantage of the rebate and clear their dues.

Meanwhile, the property tax campaign dubbed as “My Tax, My Responsibility” is currently underway, offering the 10 pc concession to compliant taxpayers. Help desks have been set up at all zonal offices to assist citizens. Commissioner Amol Yedge has urged residents to assess and pay their property taxes, contributing to the city’s development.
