With large industries securing vast land parcels in Bidkin DMIC, small entrepreneurs are now seeking space to establish their businesses. The Marathwada Association of Small Scale Industries and Agriculture (MASSIA) has urged the Industry Minister to allocate 100 acres exclusively for small-scale industries, citing increasing demand.

In the Shendra industrial zone of the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) under Auric City, 95% of industrial plots have already been allotted. Following this, Toyota Kirloskar Motors, JSW Green Mobility, Ather Energy, and Lubrizol have invested in Bidkin DMIC. More recently, Reliance Infrastructure, Anvi Power Industries, and Gensol Engineering announced multi-crore investments, securing land for their projects.

A total of 10,000 acres was acquired for Bidkin DMIC, segmented into industrial, residential, and commercial zones, along with space for infrastructure. Currently, 80% of industrial plots have been allocated. While major corporations have secured land, small businesses are now looking to establish themselves in Bidkin to leverage vendor opportunities from larger firms.

Recognizing this need, MASSIA representatives met with the Industry Minister, urging land allocation for small-scale enterprises. In response, the Minister directed MASSIA President Chetan Raut to submit a detailed proposal specifying the land requirement. Following this, MASSIA has asked its members to register their land demands.

MASIA's Stand

"After Waluj and Shendra, large companies have turned to Bidkin DMIC, encouraging small entrepreneurs to follow suit. We have requested 100 acres for small-scale industries, and 80 entrepreneurs have already shown interest in acquiring plots."

— Chetan Raut, President MASSIA
