Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

11 police officers and personnel from the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar police commissionerate have been selected for the director general of police (DGP) Medal for distinguished service on the occasion of Maharashtra Day (May 1).

The honour has been conferred for their contribution in maintaining law and order, effective crime control, cybercrime prevention, traffic regulation and public awareness initiatives in the city. The awardees are: police inspector Praveena Yadav; police sub-inspector Narayan Purke; police sub-inspector Harish Khatavkar; assistant police sub-inspector Sudhakar Misal; assistant police sub-inspector Mahendra Chavan; assistant police sub-inspector Dilip Modi; police head constable Sanjay Gavande; police head constable Ashraf Sayyed; police head constable Prakash Gaikwad; police head constable Shafik Shaikh; and police constable Chattarsingh Jarwal. The felicitation ceremony will be held on Thursday in the presence of commissioner of police Praveen Pawar, deputy commissioner of police (zone 1) Pankaj Atulkar, deputy commissioner of police (zone 2) Prashant Swami, deputy commissioner of police (headquarters) Sharmishtha Walawalkar, deputy commissioner of police (crime) Ratnakar Navle and other senior officers.
