Aurangabad, Nov 7:

Almost all transactions had come to a standstill due to the lockdown, but now are coming back on track. During the festive season, the sale and purchase of houses and land in Aurangabad, Beed and Jalna districts have accelerated in the last few days. In October alone, the department of registration and stamps has registered 15,323 properties and received revenue of Rs 34.87 crore.

On the eve of Dussehra and Diwali, people are buying houses and land. This year, these transactions are affected by Covid-19. However, during the festive season, house, land and plot sales in Aurangabad, Jalna and Beed districts are on the rise. The property registration has gained momentum after unlocking. In just a month, the government has received a revenue of Rs 34.87 crore. Out of this, Aurangabad district has collected the highest revenue of Rs 23.14 crore, Jalna Rs 5.90 crore, while Beed district has collected Rs 5.38 crore from stamp duty. The registrations are being carried out in compliance with the conditions laid down for Covid-19. The decision to waive stamp duty of 2 per cent in urban areas and 3 per cent in rural areas has led to an increase in transactions.
