1.95L consumers in A’bad zone pay electricity bills online

Aurangabad, April 1: After providing online facility to low tension consumers to pay their electricity bills at home, 1.95 lakh consumers in Aurangabad zone of the MSEDCL are paying Rs 48.98 crore online. Online payment of electricity bill through the MSEDCL website and mobile app as well as other options has been made free of cost except for credit card. Consumers have the facility to pay their electricity bills online at any time to avoid standing in line at the bill payment centre or avoiding the crowds during the Covid pandemic.

The MSEDCL has made available the website www.mahadiscom.in for online bill payment for low tension consumers as well as the option of mobile wallet and cash card along with net banking, credit/debit card for viewing current and past electricity bills through mobile app from June 2016. The service is also available to the consumers for their own multiple connections from a single account. Also 0.25 per cent discount is being offered for low tension consumers to pay their bills online within the limit of Rs 500 per month. If you pay your electricity bill through Credit Card, Debit Card, UPI, Bhim, Internet Banking, Mobile Wallet, Mobile Banking, you will get a discount of 0.25 per cent.
