2 weeks time granted to appoint trustees of Sai Baba Sansthan Trust

Aurangabad, June 23:

The Aurangabad bench of Bombay High Court comprising Justice S V Gangapurwala and Justice M G Sevlikar granted two more weeks time to the State Government to issue notification for the appointment of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of Shree Saibaba Sansthan Trust (SSST), Shirdi.

According to details, Uttamrao Shelke, a trustee of Sansthan, filed public interest litigation through adv Satish Talekar. The court set up a committee in October 2019 to take policy and financial decisions of Sansthan Trust. The State Government had assured the court of appointing the board of trustees in two months.

The duration of two months was over. Later, the court granted two weeks for the appointment of the trustees. The petitioner brought to the notice of the court on Wednesday that information is viral on social media about the appointment of some politicians on Sansthan.

On this, the Government said that a meeting for the appointment of trustees was held yesterday and sought a further two week to issue the notification of appointment.

The court granted two weeks for the issuance of notification.

Advocates Pradnya Talekar and Ajinkya Kale appeared for the petitioner while adv D R Kale appeared for the Government. The next hearing has been placed on July 5.
