Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: More than 20,000 students failed in the HSC February-March 2026examination within the jurisdiction of the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar division of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE).

More than 1.82 lakh candidates from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jalna, Parbhani, Beed and Hingoli took the 12th standard examination in February-March 2026. The State Board declared the result on Saturday.

Of them, 1.62 lakh students were declared passed. This means 22,000 candidates failed. Talking to this newspaper, divisional president Anil Sable said that the highest number of candidates (5,800) failed in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.

He said that 1.82 lakh students appeared at 449 centres between February 10 and March 18. Out of which, 88.68 per cent (1.62 lakh) were declared successful.

The MSBSHSE will conduct the supplementary examination in June/June 2026. Those students who are repeaters, wish to appear as private candidates, or wish to avail of the Class Improvement Scheme, students appearing with isolated subjects, and students appearing with ITI subjects (students taking Transfer of Credit through Industrial Training Institutes) can apply online now for the June-July session. The last date of application form submission is May 15. Those who fail to apply during this period can submit an application form with a late fee between May 16 and 20.
