A total of 55 donors participated in a blood donation camp organised on Sunday by the Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Sarva Pakshiya Jayanti Utsav Samiti to mark Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti.

The camp was inaugurated at the committee’s Osmanpura office by chief mentor Baburao Kadam in the presence of president Navinsingh Oberoi and others. A fireworks display and cake-cutting will be held at Bhadkal Gate on Monday night, followed by a tribute meeting there on Tuesday at 9 am. Police Commissioner Pravin Pawar and Kadam will flag off the procession at Kranti Chowk on Tuesday evening. Oberoi has appealed to citizens to attend the programmes.
