The city has been witnessing record-high temperatures for the past three days. According to the Meteorological Department’s forecast, the maximum temperature continues to rise. On Tuesday, the maximum temperature reached 41.4°C, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 25.8°C. Due to the intense heat throughout the day, there was a noticeable decline in traffic and public movement on the roads.
After recording this summer’s highest temperature of 40.4°C on Sunday, the mercury climbed further to 41.2°C on Monday. The upward trend continued on Tuesday. This is the highest temperature recorded so far this summer, and there is a possibility that this record may be broken again over the next four days.
