600 police personnel deployed in Khultabad

In view of the expected rush of devotees at Bhadra Maruti temple for Hanuman Jayanti, a total of 600 police personnel have been deployed in Khultabad for 48 hours.

The deployment includes 2 PI, 17 APIs, several PSIs, 168 constables, 398 home guards, over 100 armed SRPF jawans, and a riot control team. SDPO Vijaykumar Thakurwad is overseeing the entire bandobast. The movement of heavy vehicles towards Khultabad has been restricted until Saturday midnight. The security measures come amid heightened sensitivity due to the ongoing Aurangzeb tomb controversy in Khultabad, which has drawn political reactions and led to tensions in other parts of the state, including Nagpur. Lakhs of devotees are expected to visit the temple on Friday and Saturday, with several religious events also planned. Special IG Virendra Mishra and SP Dr. Vinay Kumar Rathod have reviewed the preparations and issued necessary instructions to ensure peace and order during the celebrations.
