The vehicle sales have picked up since Dussehra. It is expected that 6,000 new vehicles will be on the road by Diwali. Currently, there is a waiting list for the purchase of some four wheeler models. However, two wheelers are available in showrooms.

There is a growing trend among citizens to travel safely in their own vehicles rather than in public transport to keep themselves away from corona infection. Vehicle purchases have increased. Showrooms of various vehicles have been bustling since Dussehra. There are some car models that have a waiting period for two months. Those who booked a car in Navratri will get the delivery till Diwali. However, this is not the case for all models, but only for certain models. Rahul Pagaria, president of the Chamber of Authorized Automobile Dealers Association, said "1,000 cars would be sold in the city by Diwali. According to bookings, 70 per cent of the cars are between Rs 4 lakh and Rs 10 lakh. About 20 per cent of the cars will be sold between Rs 11 lakh and Rs 15 lakh and 10 per cent more than Rs 15 lakh.

Various options in two wheelers

By Diwali, 5,000 two-wheelers of various companies will be sold in the city. The two wheelers are available between Rs 60,000 to Rs 2 lakh. Motorcycles are available on spot booking. Exchange offers, cash discounts are being offered, said Hemant Khivasara, two wheeler distributor.
