Joint measurement of 508 hectares out of the proposed 762 hectares for the new Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) estate at Aarapur has been completed, officials said. The industrial area is being developed near Waluj due to rising demand for plots.

Land acquisition is planned across Aarapur, Gawli Shivar, and Sultanabad villages. MIDC regional officer Amit Bhamare said the survey, being conducted by revenue, agriculture, and MIDC teams, will be completed next week. Afterward, land valuation of 1,139 farmers’ plots and compensation rate negotiations will begin.
