75 percent Keshar mango can be exported

Aurangabad, Dec 31:

Around 75 percent Keshar mango can be exported if proper technology and nurturing techniques are adopted and it can compete with Hapus mango in exports, opined, the vice president of the Mahakeshar Amba Bagayatdar Sangh, Dr Bhagwan Kapse.

The mango growers of the Marathwada region formed the Sangh. Dr Kapse was addressing the members through a webinar recently.

He said, Keshar is now competing with Hapus in America and Japan. The members should follow the guidelines and use proper technology to get quality and enormous yield of the mango. The farmers will get good return for their yield, he said.

President, Sushil Baldev said, this year the mango yield will be satisfactory. In the coming three-four years, the members have set a target of 15,000 sq hectares plantation through the 8,000 members of the Sangh, he said.

He also informed about the Mahakeshar Amba Mahotsav to be organized this year. Pandit Lonare, Shivaji Ugale, Bapusaheb Shinde, Rasul Shaikh, Nandlal Kale, Jayashree Madane and others participated in the webinar.
