Aurangabad, Dec 17:

Members of Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) demonstrated in Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (BAMU) for their different demands including removal irregularities in the result of different undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

In a memorandum submitted to Pro-Vice-Chancellor Dr Shyam Shirsath, the office-bearers stated that students were are upset because of irregularities in the result preparation.

“The university should declare the results which are pending. The result of many students was withheld or showed absent in the examination. Colleges within the jurisdiction of the university should be reopened for a regular basis,” they said.

The agitators who were led by their Pradesh Sahmantri Ankita Pawar sought to submit the memorandum in the Management Meeting.

There was chaos for some as police prevented their entry in the meeting.

Ankita Pawar said that Bamu was playing with the future of poor students of Marathwada.

She also threatened to take out a morcha if the irregularities were not removed within two days.

Those who were presnt incoluded Niketan Kothari, Umakant Panchal, Sneha Parikh, Rishikesh Kekan, Shyamsundar Sodgir.
