Bees attack tourists at Ajanta Caves; 10 injured
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:
In a shocking incident at the world-famous Ajanta Caves, a swarm of bees attacked tourists around 2 pm on Sunday, reportedly due to rising temperatures. Ten tourists were injured in the incident, while the prompt action of a security guard helped prevent a major mishap and saved hundreds of visitors.
As temperatures soared in the cave area, bees from a nearby hive suddenly swarmed out and began stinging tourists. Security guard Samadhan Aage, who was on duty at the time, quickly assessed the situation and stopped other visitors from moving ahead, preventing further injuries.
The 10 injured tourists were immediately given first aid at the Archaeological Department office and then sent for further treatment. Thanks to the alertness of the security guard, a potentially serious incident was averted, although panic prevailed in the area for some time.
