Chain snatching case: Mangesh Shahane (18) and his accomplice were arrested for stealing 127 grams of gold. Police seized Rs 9.65 lakh worth of gold and bikes.
Drug smuggling: Just 15 days after being released on bail, Majid Baig (24), a repeat offender, was caught smuggling 1,700 narcotic pills from Surat to the city along with two accomplices.
Soors complex scam: The mastermind of one of the biggest frauds in recent times, Harshkumar Kshirsagar, was arrested in Delhi along with his parents for allegedly embezzling Rs 21.59 crore. They have been remanded to police custody till January 7.
