Aurangabad, Nov 26:

The online admission process for 11th class restarted across the State on Thursday. As reported earlier by this newspaper, the admission process was halted in the second week of September as the Supreme Court gave a stay on Maratha reservation under Social and Economically Backward Classes (SEBC).

There are 116 colleges in the city with 31,565 seats. Around 25,014 students registered while 19,559 locked it. A total of 19,364 application forms verified. A total of 8,749 were selected for the first round, while 6100 of them admitted. The students were worried about a delay in the admission process.

After a gap of more than two and a half months, the Directorate of Education (Secondary and Higher Secondary) issued a revised schedule for the second round of Centralised Admission Process (CAP) on Wednesday.

The vacant seats for the second round were displayed today. Nearly 16,410 candidates filled option form for the second round. The schools were asked to verify application up to December 1. The allotment list for the second round will be released on December 5 and candidates can confirm the admission up to December 9.
