Air connectivity between Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and Rajasthan is set to resume, with the Ministry of Tourism pledging efforts to restore flight services. Director general Mugdha Sinha assured stakeholders during a discussion on Saturday that steps will be taken to re-establish the air link, boosting tourism and business in the region.

Sinha met representatives from the tourism, hotel, and guide associations to address key issues affecting the sector. Among the concerns raised were the deteriorating condition of roads leading to Ajanta, a shortage of tourist guides, and the necessity of immigration clearance for international flights. Stakeholders also emphasized the need for better connectivity with Bodh Gaya, Varanasi, and Ahmedabad.

The Aurangabad Tourism Development Foundation (ATDF) confirmed that Sinha has assured all possible efforts to reinstate flights to Rajasthan. Jaswantsingh, ATDF President, along with Umesh Jadhav, Secretary of the Aurangabad Tourist Guide Welfare Association, and other key representatives, participated in the discussions.

The move is expected to enhance tourism potential in the region, making travel easier for domestic and international visitors. Authorities are now working on further steps to implement the proposed changes.
