AIU cycling championship begins in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

The four-day All-India University road cycling championship, organised by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and MGM University, began at Zalta Phata on the Dhule–Solapur highway.

The event was flagged off in the presence of SP (Rural) Dr Vinaykumar Rathod, Dr Deepak Kumar Singh (AIU), Sanjay Sathe, Dharmendra Lamba, and MGM University officials including vice-chancellor prof Dr Vilas Sapkal and registrar Dr Ashish Gadekar.

Around 350 cyclists from 74 universities across multiple states are participating. The opening events featured the 40 km individual time trial (men) and 20 km (women), where participants delivered strong performances.
