ALA provides meal to thousands of people in Covid situation

Aurangabad, June 12:

Aurangabad Ladies Association (ALA) satiated the hunger of thousands of poor, needy people and frontline workers of the city in Covid situation through their campaign ‘Subharat Yojana’.

Founder president of the ALA Prabha Machhar said that the meal arrangement of 100 persons daily is being made for a long time in a pandemic situation.

“The decision to carry out ‘Subharat’ initiative of providing meal was taken after learning situation of poor and needy, patients, their relatives and frontline workers in the peak of Covid,” she said.

Prabha Machhar, along with family members and friends, took the decision. All liked the initiative. Not just from the city, Non-resident of Indians-Seema Desai, Dr Sunita Jangyam, also supported the initiative.

ALA team members, including Prabha Macchar, president Sushma Shah, secretary Alpa Jain made all efforts to provide a meal to needy people and frontline workers at different hospitals, including near Dhoots Hospital in Mukundwadi, Chishtiya Colony, Naregaon, Railway Station, Central Bus Stand, Fatimanagar, Samanagar, Varad Ganesh and Shani Mandirs premises, near Baba Petrol Pump.

Prathna Mistry, Aditya Mistry, Priyanka Kapadia, Atish Salve and others helped the team members.

The ALA team also made medicines to patients who were in home isolation, ’ under the guidance of Dr Geetesh Chawala and Dr Mukund Sabnis. Dr Anjali Basod, Dr Yamini Pankaj, Dr Dr Salma Shaikh, Dr Anjali Dalal, Dr Vidya Kachole and Dr Kanchan Sabnis assisted in this initiative.
