AMC, ASCDCL gears up to implement GIS and e-Governance projects

Aurangabad, June 9:

A maiden meeting between the officials of the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC), the Aurangabad Smart City Development Corporation Limited (ASCDCL), and the agencies implementing GIS and e-Governance projects, was held at the AMC headquarter, today.

ASCDCL through the tender process has shortlisted Amnex Infotechnologies for the GIS project and Mars Telecom for the e-Governance project, during the last month.

The ASCDCL chief executive officer (CEO) A K Pandey, additional municipal commissioner B B Nemane, assistant director town planning (ADTP) Jayant Kharwadkar, executive engineers AB Deshmukh and BD Phad, project coordinator Hemant Kolhe along with Amnex's Dilip Panchal and Mars Telecom’s K Jagannath, project management consultant (PMC) MIPL’s Prasad Patil and others were present in the meeting.

The meeting had a discussion on various important components of the projects including Scope of Work, Project Road Map, Project Management Plan, Stakeholders Communication Plan-Reporting Frequency, Key Challenges, Support Required, Risk Response Plan, Data required from AMC and ASCDCL, and the process for data acquisition including GIS Survey Activities. It may be noted that both the projects will be hosted on a cloud-based data center with industry-standard Disaster Recovery mechanisms.

" The support period of both the projects is 10 years and the entire system will be updated and scaled up regularly as required," stressed the PMC's Patil.
