Aurangabad, May 17:

The guardian minister Subhash Desai today reviewed the late Balasaheb Thackeray Memorial works at Priyadarshini Garden in Cidco. The Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) administrator A K Pandey assured the minister of completing the proposed works in 18 months.

It so happened that Desai after concluding his pre-Kharif season review meeting visited the memorial site. Pandey apprised about the ongoing works. He mentioned that the AMC has marked 40 plots in 10.5 acres of land to plant 5,828 different types of trees yielding flowers and fruits (of Indian species). The memorial will be completed by the company Design Factory of India in 18 months. Presently, the digging works for sapling plantations, construction of pathways, and various beautification works are underway, said the company officials.

MLC Ambadas Danve, AMC city engineer S D Panzade, and garden superintendent Vijay Patil were also present on the occasion.
