Aurangabad, Nov 21:

The Aurangabad Municipal Corporation''s (AMC) Nagrik Mitra Pathak has collected a fine of Rs 30,000 from the violators for not wearing masks, spitting in public places, throwing garbage etc. on Saturday.

The AMC squad collected fines of Rs 500 from five irresponsible citizens for spitting on the road and Rs 17,000 from 34 persons for not wearing masks and Rs 600 from four persons throwing garbage on streets. The squad also collected Rs 5,000 for not clearing trash lying in front of the shops, Rs 2,000 fine for throwing spreading building material on the road and Rs 5,000 from vendors, shopkeepers for using banned plastic carry bags.

AMC tests citizens

The AMC''s health section conducted 2,461 tests (including 2095 RT-PCR and 366 antigen tests) today. Out of which, nine persons (including one person hailing from the area out of AMC jurisdiction) were reported as Coronavirus infected. The reports of RT-PCR tests will be received by tomorrow.
