AMC demolishes illegal construction made on water pipeline

Aurangabad, July 16:

The Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has demolished a construction made on 672 square feet of open space at Savarkarnagar in the Cidco N-5 sector today. The anti-encroachment squad demolished the construction made by Sachin Nagul on a 14x48 square feet area. The AMC's water pipeline passes through the open space.

It is learnt that Nagul has applied for open space with the Cidco administration, but the Cidco had not taken any decision in this regard. Without permission, he made the construction. The squad also removed encroachments creating an obstruction to traffic from areas like Delhi Gate, Chelipura, Shahgunj, Nizamuddin Road, etc. It also seized handcarts from Fazalpura, Mukundwadi, Satara, Roshan Gate, Champa Chowk, etc. Under the guidance of the AMC administrator A K Pandey and additional commissioner R P Nikam, the action was taken by the designated officer Savita Sonawane, R S Rachatwar, Syed Jamsheed, P B Gaoli, Mazhar Ali, and others.
