Aurangabad, Dec 3:

The anti-encroachment squad of Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) was active in removing encroachments from five different places in the old and the city, today.

The squad reached Pushpanagari locality and removed the encroachment admeasuring to 5 feet x 50 feet area on government land in Shaktinagar. Later on, the squad reached Nandanvan Colony and removed two encroachments and tin shed, made on plot number 228. The civic team also removed an illegal hoarding from Bhimnagar-Bhausinghpura.

The squad also freed the green belt encroached by the vegetable vendors, in front of SBOA school. The team also removed an illegal sugarcane juice centre set up in front of D'' Mart, in the vicinity.

Under the guidance of the administrator, A K Pandey and the supervision of additional commissioner R P Nikam, the designated officer Savita Sonawane, R S Rachatwar, Vasant Bhoye, building inspector Syed Jamsheed, Mazhar Ali and the police security took action.
