An entrepreneur from the city was allegedly cheated of Rs 46.35 lakh by three persons from Nashik who promised to supply pipes at a lower rate but failed to deliver the goods.

The complainant, Babasaheb Samrut (56, Cidco, Waluj Mahanagar-1), approached the police after receiving no response despite repeated demands for either the pipes or a refund. Based on his complaint, Pundliknagar police have registered a case against three directors of a Nashik-based company. The accused have been identified as Mudharsham Roy, Sharad Roy, and Hemant Roy, all residents of Krishna Apartment, Ushakiran Society, Untwadi, Nashik. According to the complaint, the accused are directors of Lambodar B.K. Warehousing and Sai Impex International Pvt. Ltd., and manage the companies themselves. They allegedly contacted Samrut through business dealings, built familiarity, and lured him with an offer to supply pipes at a concessional rate. Trusting them, Samrut began transferring advance payments from August 1, 2023. However, after receiving the money, the accused neither supplied the pipes nor refunded the amount. Despite repeated follow-ups, they allegedly continued to evade payment and delivery.
