Anup Bhade wins 2.5 K USD prize in 100 Days Cohort’ project

Aurangabad, July 13:

Anup Bhade, a Deogiri Institute of Engineering and Management Studies (DIEMS) student, secured the third rank in the ‘100 Days Cohort’ project in a seminar organised jointly by a Singapore-based company Zilliqa and Blockchained India.

His team won a prize worth 2,500 K USD for their project. Zilliqa is a Blockchain-based company in Singapore. In statistics and marketing, a cohort is a group of subjects who share a defining characteristic.

During these 100 days, the team members learned about the Blockchain basics, Silla language, and how to write smart contracts, took part in all weekly activities and tasks, learned tips and traps from the industry experts. It also won the rewards.

Anup Bhade said that the products designed by his team were ’ZilWhales’- a social trading platform for Zilliqa and ‘CredZil’- a loyalty reward program for using Zil.

“We have developed the products for Zilliqa and presented them on demo day and got the third position. Blockchain technology is most simply defined as a decentralised, distributed ledger that records the provenance of a digital asset,” he said.

General secretary of M S P Mandal MLC Satish Chavan felicitated Anup Bhade along with his parents in a programme held in the institute. DIEMS director Dr Ulhas Shivurkar, Sanjay Kalyankar and others were present.
