An armed clash broke out between two groups of youths after one group allegedly refused to give money for liquor. The incident occurred around 11.30 pm on Friday on Jatwada Road. Harsul police have registered cross complaints in the matter.
According to a complaint filed by Shaikh Hujef (22, Saeeda Colony), accused Usman Khan (20), Hrithik Salve (20), both residents of Ektanagar, along with their accomplice, assaulted him and his friend after they refused to give money for liquor. Hujef alleged that he was attacked with a knife.
However, in a counter-complaint, Usman alias Shabbu Hamid (20, resident of Ektanagar) alleged that while he and his friend Salve were walking on the road, Sheikh Hujef and Rehan Salim Sheikh confronted them, objecting to their loud conversation, and attacked him with a knife, causing injuries.
