Aurangabad, Nov 11:

For the last several years, railway station and bus stand remained crowded during Diwali. This time around, however, the number of passengers travelling to their home towns has decreased due to Covid-19. The officials say that the number of passengers will increase in coming days.

Due to Covid-19, only four trains are currently running from Aurangabad that include Sachkhand Express, Mumbai-Nanded-Mumbai Special Railway, Aurangabad-Hyderabad-Aurangabad and Dharmabad-Manmad-Dharmabad festival special train. Passengers can only travel with a reserved ticket. Hence there has not been much crowd of passengers. The Sachkhand Express had a large crowd of Diwali commuters on Wednesday. Railway protection force inspector Arvind Kumar Sharma and his team were managing the crowd. The central bus stand was also crowded with passengers in the morning. Depot manager S A Shinde and staff were leaving the buses according to the crowd of passengers. The officials said that the number of passengers is expected to increase further in the next two days.
