Aurangabad, Nov 21:

Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University declared the result of the common entrance test (CET) for the admission of M Phil course in 18 subjects. Nearly 1,174 candidates from the State other parts of the country registered for the test which was conducted on Friday while 1108 of them took it from 11 am to 2 afternoon. The result was declared on Saturday with 24 hours from taking the examination.

The highest number of students appeared in the Political Science department (151), followed by 108 in Management Science and 107 in the English Department. A meeting chaired by vice-chancellor Dr Pramod Yeole was held today to discuss the admission process. Pro-Vice-Chancellor Dr Shyam Shirsath, chairman of the admission committee Capt Dr Suresh Gaikwad, deputy registrar of examinations department Dr Ganesh Manza were present.

Deputy registrar of Postgraduate Department Dr Digamber Netke, Pramod Gulgule, Abhishek Kadam and others made efforts to complete the examinations process on time. The merit list will be announced on November 23. The admission process for 230 M Phil seats in 18 departments commenced today and to be continued up to November 30. Dr Digamber Netke said that the classes of the course would start from December first.
